Examined 9 Hours, Wa Ode Jump Arrested

Corruption Eradication Commission arrested immediately the National Mandate Party Politician Wa Ode Nurhayati after undergoing investigation as a suspect about eight hours, today, Thursday, January 26, 2012. He was escorted to the Pondok Bambu Women's Detention Center by car prisoners.

Coming out of the examination room KPK, Wa Ode looked shocked. His face was pale. His eyes were watery. He claimed to be ready to suffer the consequences as a politician. "I am willing to undergo this arrest," he said.

Wa Ode specified suspects for allegedly receiving money USD 6.75 billion from Haris Andi Surahman, people who claim to businessmen from Southeast Sulawesi.

KPK suspect that money was a bribe to Wa Ode to enter the four regions of ordered Haris in the list of adjustments to revenue fund infrastructure in Budget 2011. The fourth area is the Aceh Bedar, Pidie Jaya, Bener Meriah, and Minahasa.

This case also ensnared Fahd Rafiq A, child of old pedangdut A Rafiq as a suspect. Haris money was allegedly derived from Fahd, entertainment entrepreneur who is also Chairman of the Young Family Mutual Cooperation Council, Golkar wing organization.

Muhammad Iskandar, lawyers Wa Ode seemed resigned to seeing his client was detained. He just said he would follow the legal process that is applied KPK. "Obviously we will do the defense," he said.

Wa Ode to undergo the examination at the Commission since at 11:46 pm. Southeast Sulawesi's politicians left the Commission leading to the detention house at 21.00 pm.
