As we know, Germany is the country of origin of products in the world's leading automakers such as BMW, Mercedes, and VW. Speaking to reporters after a meeting with the Mayor of Solo, Joko Widodo in Loji Gandrung, Monday (1/30/2012), Deputy Chief Representative of Indonesia in Berlin, Regis M Rubianto Diah said it will seek opportunities of cooperation with such companies.
"Esemka has become a national issue and the Embassy in Berlin had the same vision with the German Ambassador recently to Solo. So far we intend to facilitate the industry to find opportunities because many of the cars there are in Germany, "said Diah.
Diah added any later form of cooperation is a priority is education in the field of automotive technology. Able to send people to study in Germany or of German automotive manufacturers to send experts to Solo. Regarding timing, Diah claim can not ensure. But he immediately seek to bring together Jokowi with cars manufacturers in Germany.
Solo Mayor Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said the course will be very nice if Esemka can get support from the world's automotive manufacturers. Support will be very helpful both for Solo Techno Park, PT Solo Manufacturing Creative and vocational students in schools.
"Thank God that from here could send people to study in Germany at a time from there also send experts here. What is clear is very nice. Maybe they could provide technical assistance, supervision, assembly, and QC management, "said Jokowi.
Jokowi hopes to meet with German automotive manufacturers in March, when he meets along with the invitation for the promotion of and investment in the arena of International Tourism Boerse (ITB) in Germany.
